Vintage Nishiki Performance Road Bike – SunTour Cyclone 7000 / Custom Aero Setup

This is a seriously cool piece of late-1980s road-bike history.


This vintage Nishiki performance road bike combines classic Japanese-era Nishiki construction with a collection of period performance components and a wild custom cockpit setup that makes this bicycle impossible to mistake for anything modern.


At the rear you'll find a SunTour Cyclone 7000 derailleur, a respected performance component from the era. The bike also features a traditional double-chainring road drivetrain and lightweight 700C road wheels.


Up front, things get considerably more interesting.

The bike has been fitted with a full aero / triathlon-style cockpit, including extended riding positions and padded aero rests. It gives the bicycle a wonderfully unmistakable late-'80s/early-'90s performance-bike appearance.

This isn't a pristine museum piece. It's a vintage road machine with patina, modifications and personality, and that's exactly what makes it cool.

Condition

Refurbished and mechanically functional.

This is a vintage bicycle and shows cosmetic wear, paint chips, scratches and patina accumulated over its life. Various components and the cockpit may have been changed or upgraded over the years, so the bicycle is not being represented as an entirely original factory-specification example.

The bicycle has been inspected and serviced by The Up-Cycle to ensure it is ready to ride.
